In September of 2024, Cheryl Hsu and I co-facilitated a Soulmakers Gathering in Bergerac, France at Life Itself.
Prior to gathering, we both wrote an illumination of our relationship with Soulmaking, both as a practice and a way of life. Below is what came through.

What is Soulmaking?
Soulmaking is like a Lighthouse, guiding oceans of wild potential through the light of our hearts, beaconing life home to the harbors of Heart.
Soulmaking is an embodied channeling of Soul, which is deliciously unique to our incarnation yet universal in its desire to live the erotic expression of our most attuned, whole, creative flow.
Soulmaking ripples gestures of service that open hearts, expands minds and births new realities.
Soulmaking is a communion-cation practice that dials into the channel of our most soulful symphony, adding our wildly precious note to the cosmic expression of Creative Lifeforce.
Soulmaking is inherently relational, as even when practiced alone, there is a union between the realms of Being that sparks insight, illuminating a more whole Whole that expands intimacy into vastness and vastness into intimacy. In-to-me-I-see.
Soulmaking is different from daydreaming or fantasizing, though it can include both, in that it comes through a particular flavor of embodied heart, often starting in the earth and making its way through our toes, into our bones and up through our organs. The mental mind can be the last place it caresses, if ever, a flirting Mystery that tickles her creations with soul-full care, asking of our faith in her guidance.
Ultimately, Soulmaking is a path Home. Paradoxically, it’s a reminder that Home is the path to home. We’re always there, going somewhere, which is already Here.
Dissolving into her arms welcomes images of wonder and warmth, darkness and despair, life and death. All is welcomed here, because nothing exists without everything already also being.
Soulmaking eats paradoxes for lunch.
Soulmaking often speaks, senses and feels in images, metaphors, embodied movements and artistic expressions. At the same time, it sees all of life as the very artistic expression it’s creating, an embodied movement of Eros that is metaphorically imagining itself into literal being.
Soulmaking is therefore a reminder that we’re alive, a celebration of What Is, and an ever-unfolding vision for what is becoming.
Soulmaking is creating itself in this very moment, through you, reading this, imagining it into life, as Life. So let go and become more of what you already are: a soul making Soul.
